The Most Wanted Pokémon Cards Of 2025

The Most Wanted Pokémon Cards Of 2025

2025 was another massive year for the ever growing Pokémon TCG. In case you weren't following, here's a list of the 15 (now) most expensive cards of the year!

15. Cynthia's Garchomp ex (Destined Rivals)

Fitting for such a popular character, popular Pokémon, and a mascot of the set, this one is commonly lisited for around £143 nowadays.

14. Espeon ex (Prismatic Evolutions)

It's unsurprising to see cards from Prismatic on here, it's likely THE most sought after set of the year, introducing gorgeous cards like this one of fan favourite Eeveelutions. This one often sells for around £146, although this won't be the last we'll be seeing of this set today.

13. Zekrom ex (Black Bolt)

From another of last year's special sets, similar to Prismatic Evolutions. Black Bolt and White Flare focused exclusively on Unova Pokémon, giving so many special illustration rares too, including this Zekrom now selling for around £157.

12. Leafeon ex (Prismatic Evolutions)

We're back onto Prismatic Evolutions already! This time with a beautiful stellar Leafeon in the woods. This one has been pushing £185.

11. Mega Gardevoir ex (Mega Evolution)

I mean just look at it. It's golden! On top of already being the rarest card in the set, tied with the similar golden Lucario, this one was also speculated to have competitive viability as Gardevoir ex has been running the game for years. Currently lists for around £190.

10. Sylveon ex (Prismatic Evolutions)

What more is there to say? In my mind Sylveon has always been one of the more popular Eeveelutions, so there's no real surprise seeing it listed at £226.

9. Mega Lucario ex (Mega Evolution)

Another gold one! I'd get used to these if I were you, as it seems like it'll be a theme throughout the Mega Evolution expansion! This one has aura farmed above Gardevoir £230.

8. Mega Charizard X ex (Phantasmal Flames)

Yeah so as I was saying......
However this one features the ever favourite Charizard, pushing it to a value of £244. Despite being the statistically rarest card in the set, it's not actually the most valuable.

7. Reshiram ex (White Flare)

This is like Black Bolt and White Flare's vesion of the gold cards. Of all of the Reshirams printed in this set this was the rarest one, going for £255.

6. Zekrom ex (Black Bolt)

Reshiram's counterpart, going for slightly more at £274.

Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex (Destined Rivals)

Maybe a little surprising to be so high up, but you can't deny just how cool this one looks, earning it a price of £306. Destined Rivals was a big release for fans of not just Pokémon but popular characters too, and this card is combining two of the biggest names from both sides.

4. Victini (White Flare)

Along with Zekrom and Reshiram, Victini also recieved a special illustration in the same style, with a unique red colour! The colour looks so good that it's blown the other two to the side, going for around £300.

3. Victini (Black Bolt)

You may think that this is the same card again, but if you look closely the number is different! It's impressive that Victini has flown to the top of this list despite being printed in both sets,

2. Mega Charizard X ex (Phantasmal Flames)

One more Charizard for the road. If you've been around any online TCG spaces lately then you've definitely seen this one around. It's entirely deserving of its place on this list, with a value of around £330.

1. Umbreon ex (Prismatic Evolutions)

It's not even close. Umbreon ex takes the #1 spot with a value of £701. Umbreon has probably always been the most popular Eeveelution, and this isn't the first time it's been in a spot like this, with the Evolving Skies Umbreon VMAX reaching record prices years ago. That old card is known in the community as Moonbreon, a name somewhat adopted by this card too, adding to its prestige. I think there's something nice about ordianry illustration rares beating out the purposly high value gold and such cards.
