Yu-Gi-Oh!'s Latest Upgrade

Yu-Gi-Oh!'s Latest Upgrade

Dyl |

2026 is set to be a big year for the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, with the introduction of full-art-style cards for the very first time!

This type of rarity has been commonplace in other TCGs for a long time now, but Konami has always kept Yu-Gi-Oh! in it's classic look, which in fairness, is iconic and loved worldwide.

It's possible to have the best of both worlds however, since the classic designs aren't going anywhere because of some new additions. It's a really exciting time!

A First Look

This card type will be called "Extended Art", and is available as Ultra Rare and Prismatic Rare forms.

So far, Konami's isn't straying too far from their classic designs. Instead of full new card artwork, the designs are made out to be extensions of the boxed illustrations, as if some truly powerful monsters are able to break free from their card borders.

Full Art Full World

The first sets to feature these cards are:
Limit Over Collection -The Heroes- (Japan)
  Rarity Collection V (Worldwide)

Limit Over Collection just released the other week, with Rarity Collection scheduled for April 9th in Europe.

Limit Over Collection features 18 Ultra Rare Extended Art cards, and 18 Prismatic Rare Extended Arts. 18 Ultra Rares are also being printed as Grand Master Rares, with a unique serial number. Supposedly, there will only be 100 of each of these in the world.

Rarity Collection V will feature 10 Extended Art cards, and they'll all be new prints of fan favourites!

The main goal of this set is to distribute high quality rarer cards, that can be played too! There's a guaranteed special variant in every pack, and much of the set is reprints of top tournament and player favourite cards.

We have this set available in stock right now, check it out!

And our full range of Yu-Gi-Oh! can be found here!
