A new type of Pokemon TCG product has landed with us recently, quite literally landed, it's a stock of Japanese booster boxes and other products!
In case you're unfamiliar with the differences between these and western releases, the expansions we receive over here are usually combinations of multiple Japanese sets, for example the recent Destined Rivals combined Glory of Team Rocket and Heat Wave Arena. For those hunting for specific artworks, this may be a more efficient way to do it! Or maybe you'd like to start collecting your favourite cards in a second language, or maybe you might want to collect the differing box designs!
A second key difference is that these sets release earlier in Japan than overseas, meaning that sets like Inferno X which will become the highly anticipated Phantasmal Flames next month are already available to buy!
In the coming weeks, we'll be adding other Japanese Pokemon products to the store, such as TCG accessories and card games. For now, you can browse the selection of booster boxes and packs we have available here!
Most sets from the Scarlet & Violet era of the card game are here, including special sets which can be hard come across in English! Additionally, we have some older sets stocked too like VSTAR Universe which became Crown Zenith.
A favourite of mine design wise is Raging Surf which became a part of Paradox Rift, but featuring no paradox Pokemon in its set list. Groudon, Jirachi, and Garchomp being mascots just makes me feel nostalgic for the older days of the series.
